There are so many alternatives options available rather than betting & investment. The following are :

1.Selling:

• You can start drop shopping. Drop shipping is nothing but a way to sell goods without owning goods or maintaining any inventory or logistics. e.g Meesho (In India).

Note: In this drop shipping, you have to sell goods. Delivery the ordered goods will be  taken care by the company. You have no need to maintain any stock or tie up with logistic company. You will be just mediator between company and customers.

• Start selling digital content such as articles, images, videos, e-book etc. e.g  Shutterstock for selling images, clip etc.

2.You can start your YouTube channel. Create video and upload on your channel. After full fill the ads Criteria, ads will advertise on your videos. By ads you can get money.

3.Start your blog website. You post relevant content and show ads on your website. You can make money by ads. You can create your own blog on google blogger

4.Freelancing : You can offer some services to other who need it. This service may be your personal passion, creativity such as writing content, digital marketing, images editing, video editing, graphic etc. You can make money by offering this service. A reference website is Fiverr

5.You can start Data entry work.

6.You can make money by doing Captcha.

7.You can start serving as customer care on behalf of any company (if you fulfill their criteria).
